Celebrity Cruises was founded in 1988 by the Greek Chandris Group, making it one of the youngest cruise lines. In 1997, the company merged with Royal Caribbean International and formally became part of Royal Caribbean Cruises. It is headquartered in Miami, Florida. Points are earned for each day on board and their number depends on the length of the cruise, as well as the cabin and class in which guests are accommodated. The loyalty program has six levels - Preview, Classic, Select, Elite, Elite Plus and Zenith - the first level is available to passengers when booking their first cruise on the company's ship. Loyalty rewards include discounts, but also physical gifts on board, access to events, beverage packages or selected free services.
